Reach Out..... Help Iowa...... We Can Make A Difference!!

As this day begins I say lord I'm so thankful to you for allowing me another day. As I sit in my nice cozy home able to eat, sleep and drink all that my body may need. I think to myself.... that I need this or that but when you really take a look at my situations it's know where near what others are going through. A dear friend of mine Amy B. from In-My-Pajamas did a interview about a week ago on a project called CAN-Do it's an relief organization that is headed by an awesome..I mean truly awesome gentleman Eric Klein. A while back in Palo, Iowa ,Columbus,Iowa there was a major flood that devastated those areas..leaving people homeless... without food, without clothes needing medicine and much much more. They are surrounded by bodies of those who lost there lives during the rain storm not even a proper sanitary place to use the bathroom. Eric and his team have done a wonderful job but do to lack of funds they are in dire need to further assist with help. We as people must understand that this effects everyone of us. We must stand and take charge in assisting these people. These children are our future they are our next Doctors ,Lawyers and Teachers. I thought I needed help ...help with my business but when I saw this I know now that the help I need can't compare to what they are going through. The living conditions for these people are just deplorable...know one should have to live like that....know one. Micheal Jackson sang a song a few years ago called SAVE THE WORLD...this is what we need to do...help save the world . There area so many people out there that can pull together to help Iowa we just have to reach them. We can do it... We can pull together to help one another . We must save these people we must come together to get them back to living normal again and we can do it. Visit Eric Klein at CAN-Do.org. drop off whatever you can if you live in that are..visit the site and make a donation of whatever your heart desire. They are in need...they need us...don't allow this need to go unnoticed tell others, tell friends, blog about it..call Senator's..call those you may know that maybe able to help. I sure am going to do all that I can. Let's make the world a better place for us all.

As many of you know I love children ..so you see it's not only the adults that is suffering it is our children as well. Help Save Them!!! visit www. Can-Do.org
you can visit www.virtualvolunteerTV.org and you can look at the podcast at candoorg.podomatic.com.

I'm coming Eric..I'm hoping to bring you as much help as possible..let us reach out and help. God will reward us all!!

Night Helper....

Do you know Doctors are now using texting methods to help teen remember to take there medicine. Cincinnati doctors are experimenting with texting to tackle a big problem: Teens too often do a lousy job of controlling chronic illnesses like asthma, diabetes or kidney disease etc. We know this has been a big problem for adults who suffers from chronic illnesses but now our teens have develop the lack of being consistent in taking there medicine. Just think... they can hardly keep there focus on school and life in general let alone medication. It's very hard for an adult to try and remember to take there medication. Kids these days have an attention span like the blink of the eye. Not listening.... sometimes looking you right in the eye while you are talking to them... and still don't know what you where saying.... or walking away in the middle of a conversation or just plain in there own world. I have seen where children have forgotten to take there medication for long periods of time. Forgetting and not remembering rather they took it or not...causing more harm to the chronic diagnosis then they may know. I know back when I was nursing we use to set up pill boxes for each day and sometimes that didn't work. I think that via texting is a good method to help our children to remember but I also say so is the Potty Watch...this device can been worn on the wrist and can be set at any time interval allowing the individual to remember that it's medication time. Some children and adults don't have cell phones and what if he/she leaves home without there phone. These wonderful timepieces carry a medication jingle to assist them. The Night Helper Potty Watch/ Medication Reminder will also be able to help children and adult in many medical task also helping to eliminate incontinence.
Well until next time : God Bless...And Take Your Medication On Time With Or With Out The Medication Helper!

Summer Time Is Here!!

Glitter Summer Graphics

Alright Everyone Yeahhhhh Summer Time Is Here.

School is officially out and the kids are ready to rock and roll visiting friends having summer parties and visiting all sorts of summer parks. Getting ready for camp, swimming, boating with there love ones. Wow so cool ha!! Well for many of us parents summer is great not haven't to get up and get them ready giving the parents a break from school work lol lol. But summer is more serious then most of us think. Sometime it can bring on so much drama then we aspect. You see kids are more susceptible to injurys more due to Theme Park Rides...Boating Accidents...Drownings and more. Durining this time of summer vacation parents please just take a moment and be a little more caution with you kids. When children are riding the new Theme Park rides ask questions ask the operator if that child is secure in his or her seat make sure all straps are fasten correctly. When swimming make sure all children have a life jacket on..yes I know they are big and uncomfortable but they help to save lives. Make sure you keep your eyes on them at all time because in a matter of minutes things can change and sometimes it's not for the good. I'm not trying to scare you I am saying beware of everything that your children are doing and riding. When your child is swimming make sure you keep all eyes on them in the pool and coming out of the pool. Take a look at there face check there stomach for swelling...make sure they are walking up right with out any problems avoid liquids for a while when coming out of pool. Allow the body to settle down for a while. Let me just share a story with you...about two weeks ago a mom and her 9 year old son went swimming and was having a wonderful time. As he got out of the pool they both started wrapping up to go home.....well they didn't live far so they walked back to there home laughing and holding hands.....they both arrived at home safely and she begin to get dinner ready and get him ready for bed. Well as she finished making his bath water he got dressed and wet to bed...the next day she found him dead...yes .....dead in his bed. The doctors stated that even though he was doing fine when they walked home and was eating the autopsy stated that he had Fluid from the pool still in his lungs all that time. OH Lord...this took me for a loop for I have never heard of this in all my years of nursing neither had they. So I say...say a prayer for this mom and please, please keep a close eye on your children this wonderful summer.

Enjoy Summer 2008

Eliminating Bedwetting Odors!!

Well hello to all my readers I welcome you back!!

Today our topic will be about eliminating bed wetting odors. As you know when you are dealing with a children who suffers from Nocturnal Enuresis or an adult who is Incontinent the smell of urine may linger on long after the incident has occured. Eliminating bed wetting odor is not as easy as people may think. A child with enuresis is not a major or critical problem, but it is a difficult and frustrating one. Wet sheets, wet blankets, wet pajamas and there room smelling of urine all add to the dismay felt by the child and parent.

Best solution for removing stains and odors from the child's bedroom would be.

1) Baking soda and water : equal parts

2) Water and vinegar: equal parts

3) Borax will help to kill the spores and help eliminate odor.

4) Product called- Urine Be Gone--it's a natural biodegradable urine and stain odor remover

5)There are also services to help clean and assist with urine smell.

6) Soaking clothes in Clorox will help eliminate smell in clothes. Always add a fabric softer-it helps to make the clothes smell fresh.

But think about this.... all these cleaning methods for bed wetters can be eliminating once the child or adult begins to use the Night Helper Potty Watch.
Giving a child and adult a dry night sleep.
