Autism...do we really understand it!

You know all children are a Blessing know matter what they may be diagnosed with. As a registered health care provider I find Autistic children to be very very smart in there own way. Autistic children do not always show the same symptoms. Even if two children are diagnosed with the same disorder they may act completely different. Certain signs of Autism sometimes shows up early in a child....and sometimes not.

Symptoms like:
Not wanting to be touched
Avoiding change
Wants to be alone or doesn't mix well with others
Laughing or crying for no apparent reason
Big attachments to things
No eye contact

These are just a few signs but major symptoms of a child having Autism. The next best thing to do would be scheduling an appointment with his or her pediatrician. Upon taking the child to his or her pediatrician he will test the skills of the child and make a medical diagnosis.

They usually look at the following areas of skill:
Hearing
Vision
Speech
The way the child looks at the world
Cognitive abilities
Play skills
Social skills

I too have a family member that is Autistic and I tell you I love him to death..he is very smart..I mean really smart. I think as a parent when we hear the word Autism it leaves us with feelings that we have never felt before.....a feeling that we are alone and a feeling of the unknown. I say to every parent Read..reading about Autism is power. I beleive in my heart that we can conquer this disease and if we can't conquer it we sure can manage it for our children and ourselves. Sometimes it is good to think out of the box...meaning not to make it more then what it is. Children are special know matter what they may be going through and if we can allow them to feel free from worrying what others may think or say..Then Let's Do It! Just think... it is a scary world for them not really knowing how to communicate with others the way they wish to. I ask everyone when you see a parent with a Autistic child encourage them both..you will see it can make a world of difference for the both of them. Get out and learn more about Autism try and volunteer at one of the Hospital that offer classes. Get to know a parent who has a child with Autism bring your children along so they can understand Autism and learn not to make fun of these wonderful children. It's bad enough for our children let alone other children making fun of them...that really do upset me when I see other children making fun of those that are physically or mentally challenged and it upsets me even more when a suppose to be parent do not seem to want to make that child cease with the comments or laughter. These children and adults that have Autism are humans just like the rest of us and they deserve Respect!. As a new mom inventor I also know that my wonderful timepieces will be a big help with Autism...the timepieces will help to allow the child or adult to remember to take there medication in a timely manner at what ever time frame he or she needs. So I 'm also helping to assist our Autism children and adults. My wonderful timepieces will help them with many medical task. Watches comes in three different styles catering to all age groups.

Help me make a change in the lives of our Autistic children!

Until Next Time:God Bless

I had no idea you had an autistic relative...I'm glad Lisa that you see his hidden talents and find the kindness in your heart to support not only him but so many others. The world is a better place because you bring the matters of the heart, body and soul to light!

I understand that it breaks your heart and the family members. My niece's son Craig who is 23 has autism. He is in a home with others. I never get to see him anymore. That makes me extremely sad.
