As a parent, some of us have come across this issue with our children experiencing bed wetting one way or another. It is considered one of the most embarrassing situation that a child and parent has ever dealt with. It's really not as bad as you think! When you take time to address the issues you'll find that there are many solutions available to help your child!
Waking up with soiled clothing, sheets and urine odor that sometimes can stay in a child's rooms for weeks can effect a child social life as well as his/her behavior.
You must express with them that they are not alone! Bed wetting is one of those taboo subjects which people don't wish to speak about.
If your child is still having little accidents during the night, then it's time to set aside some talk time to learn what is causing him/her to wet the bed. So many things can play into this problem some may be medical and some may not. Upon helping your child, if you find that it is occurring more then normal always seek help from your child's physician this way the physician can rule out any medical concerns.
First:
1)You must be patient.
2)You must talk, talk, talk.
3)You must not be discourage, but encouraging.
4)You must share your feelings of understanding with a quiet tone(Not with frustration).
5)You must let the child know that he can conquer this problem with the support of mom, dad.
6)You must take it slow...don't rush give the child time to understand what is happening.
Remember parents...these are our children and we want nothing but the best for them. So give your child time to over come this issue it is a natural stage in there lives and again many solutions are available...I'm working on one now!
Until next time,Blessings to you and your family!

Is this your child!!!!
I just can't believe it happen to me!

I thought of the song from Willy Wonka when I wrote this piece!
I didn't do it...the economy did!
I just can't believe it happened to me, I lost everything that matters to me; but I got a Golden Ticket, I got a Golden Twinkle in myyyyyy eye!
I can't believe it happened to me, I'm feeling like it almost destroyed me; but I got a Golden Ticket, I got a Golden Twinkle in myyyy eye!
I can't believe it happened to me, I feel so depressed I must be free; but I got a Golden Ticket, I got a Golden Twinkle in myyyy eye!
I wrote this poem to express the way I feel. You see just months ago I found myself in the downfall of the economy. Changing my life more ways than I could have ever imagined. We go through life never thinking that it could happen to us even when you think you are prepared, there is never ever a good plan that works know matter how hard you try!
It's so easy for others to come along and say do this, do that, but what it really boils down to is keeping your head above water. Even though this has happened to me; I still have a Golden Ticket, I have a Golden Twinkle in myyyy eye!
I say that because I still have Faith, I still have Hope and I still have God on my side! I know I will have to refocus everything again .....what that old devil thought he had taken from me has just made me Stronger. I say to anyone that is reading this..."IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU"...but remember life isn't over, it only just begun.
Now I can work harder with my timepieces that I have developed for our millions of children who suffer from Nocturnal Enuresis (bed-wetting) I won't give up nor will I give in...I feel like the Hulk...Strong and Ready to make a change for the best!
Hold your head high , walk into your passion with dignity and love!
For I will not be Defined by my situation, what will Define me is how I will come OUT!!!
ON TOP!
Grab your Golden Ticket...make it happen!
I just can't believe it! What A Hoax!

Last week when I saw the story about the young child that was supposed to have been in a box of a Flying Balloon flying over Colorado . I was in shock! My family and I began to say a prayer for this child and his family. I was so worried that something flying that high with a child inside without any proper way of controlling it was just not a good sign. I just couldn't help myself, I was watching and praying every minute.
Once the balloon landed and they stated No Child in it! I was sick to my stomach thinking Lord where could that child be... and if he lived through the fall it was just a miracle from our God! Once I retired for the night still believing that just maybe God had saved this child from such a horrible accident. I woke up to the biggest surprise ever....Them appearing on TV and the child making a comment stating it was done for the Show!
WOW! What has happen to our parents these days, at what cost would a parent summit his/her child to play along with such a hoax's. Has Money turned everyone crazy, or is it just TV or is it just people will do anything to gain Attention. Well whatever anyone do with there life is up to them , but what's so sad is using innocent children to gain any type of exposure. I hope and pray that the Colorado Police will do what is needed to chastised this mom, dad so that others will know this is not a game. Wasting Tax dollars, Time and Energy that could have been on area's that were more important.
I say let's get back to being real PARENTS.... Parents who are concerned about there children , a caring, loving parent, a parent who nurtures and teaches there children to be respectful, a parent who helps a child fulfill his Dreams without poisoning them with bad habits! Remember these children are our future!!!
This is just my opinion...what do you think?
October Is Breast Cancer Month! Please schedule your exam :)

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This is one cause that is close and dear to my heart. You see I just lost my second sister to Breast Cancer just 4 months ago and another one 12 years ago along with my father who died of cancer as well. This disease is truly dreadful in every way taking our love ones faster then ever. Sometime I wonder is it what we really eat, is it our drinking water, is it something that is just lurking in all of us. I pray not!
Statistic shows us that over 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
One person is diagnosed with breast cancer every 3 minutes.
One person dies of breast cancer every 14 minutes.
People over the age of 50 account for 76% of breast cancer cases.
There is over a 97% five-year survival rate when localized breast cancer is caught before it spreads to other parts of the body.
Sometimes even with having the best treatment cancer cells can reoccur.
Approximately one third of women with estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer experience a recurrence (breast cancer coming back). Over half of these occur more than five years after surgery.

I'm so sadden by how breast cancer has taken so many of our love ones. Even when writing this blog I can hardly keep it together....wondering what's next....who's next....or just when. All I can do is stay in prayer asking God to comfort my aching heart and soul. I miss my sisters and my dad all gone to soon.
I say to each of my sisters out there.....GET TESTED! Contact your doctor soon to schedule your yearly mammograms exam.
Let's save your life and the lives of others that can be affected!
Until next time: R.I.P. to all those we have lost to Breast Cancer, Don't give up to those who are fighting!!! When stand together supporting each of you!

Sometimes Life Can Change!!!!

I wanted to talk about changes that alter our lives due to disabilities. I love it when I get emails from moms seeking advise about there children....Wow that makes me feel so good. I'm speaking from my heart today about our children. Many of you know that when you come by to visit my blog it is mainly focused on children and seniors...WHY...because they hold my passion. I believe God gave me this passion for children, seniors for a reason. The reason being is to help them in every way I can.
Lately I have come across a lot of children who are experiencing life altering changes due to a disabilities. This is such a difficult time for the parent but most of all is a very difficult time for the child. We as parents must not be selfish we must understand that yes this altering life changing situation may have change for you but it is the child who has truly been affected the most.
I want every child to understand they are not alone there are millions of children to this day who are experiencing the same concerns , some are in different medical areas.
You see disability comes in many forms it is classified as an impairment, be it physical or mental, which limits one's activities.
There are many ways to categorised disability (ie cognitive, physical, mental, learning, social) sometimes by genetic.
There can be multiple disabilities at birth, or sometimes a combination of acquired and genetic.
Brain Injury, ADD/ADHD, Alzheimer's, Depression,Fibromyalgia. Hearing Impairment,Motor Neuron Disease, Quadriplegia etc.
I can only say to anyone who has found themselves in a life changing situation ...DON"T GIVE UP...NOR GIVEN IN. I want every child to know that they are just as important as the next child. I say find the inner child in your children find that passion that they have within themselves it's there we all have it. Don't sit around wasting time saying why, shoulda, coulda, woulda...those are the answers we will never get.
Make a change in your life enjoy it to the fullest find things that will make them proud to be different. Yes we are different, I say we, because I too suffer from a disability might not be as bad as those I have come across, but it has altered my life also. I have since taken my other gifts that God has given me and shined in those areas.
Keep there spirits up, find ways for them to make a difference in there life as well as others who suffers from a disability.
1) Allow them to visit other children who have been affected.
2) Show them ways of making certain crafts for others, being it to be sick children or adults and watch the glow on there faces.
3) Allow them a say in there life, this will allow them to feel as though they have some control.
4) Acknowledge there feelings......ALWAYS!
5) Give them Hope if nothing else.
6) Daily Interacting is a must with family and friends.
7) Help them to face there fears. (start off slow with this)
8) Talk,Talk,Talk
9) Hug,Hug,Hug
Last but not least....Never give up on them....love them for who they are....help them to love themselves know matter what and remember God is always with us all.
This is just my opinion I'm not a psychiatrist and I do not claim to be however I do have many many years in the medical field nursing/caring for patients.
Until next time: God Bless

Rest In Peace Patrick Swayze

1952-2009 You'll be missed!
All I can say is OMG....Lord you have taken from us a wonderful actor and person who seem to never change even in sickness. I'm sadden by his death I truly love watching all of his movies...he made us all cry, laugh and want more from his marvelous acting.
Patrick Swayze after a long battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. He had a career that spanned decades and genres and private life that sometimes leaked onto the pages of popular tabloids. No matter what he held his own.
R.I.P. Patrick we love you and you will surely be missed!!! :( I'm not ashamed to say....yes, I'm crying :(
Septemper is Baby Safety Month!!!!!!
September is Baby Safety Month. Most people look at baby safety month as a month of awareness with baby products. I do agree with that, but I also agree that it is baby safety month with the care of our babies. Now and days, many baby products are either being recalled or has cause death to many babies. The government has even made it harder for products to get into the market now.....each item of the baby product must be tested and certifield by the government. I think this is Awesome.....I sure wouldn't want to purchase a product that maybe harmful or cause death.
My concern is not only with the care of the products but the care of our babies. As part of Baby Safety Month, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning parents and caregivers about in-home drowning hazards. "Summer is over and many pools are now closed, but drowning dangers never end," said CPSC Chairman Hal Stratton. "Parents of young children need to know there are other drowning hazards in and around the home."
Many children drown in bathtubs than in any other product in the home. CPSC reported 72 children under 5 who drowned in bathtubs, and more than half were under 1 year old. Most cases involved a child left unattended in the tub with water still running.
It has been noted that 13 children under 5 who died in spas or hot tubs in 2001, 11 deaths involving 5-gallon buckets, seven involving other- sized buckets, five deaths in wading pools, four deaths in landscape ponds and one death in a plastic basin.
Research as also shown a rise in child abuse......This is quite disturbing to me, we all know children didn't ask to be born. I say to everyone step up and start looking out for your children and other kids. Voice your opinion when you see child abuse ....you never know, you just may be saving a life!!!!
Let's Save Our Children, For They Are Our Children Of The Future!!!
